Pot of Gold Craft

Who hasn’t wanted to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? Make and Takes shows us how we can make both, so we don’t have to look very far to find our very own pot of (chocolate-y) gold. This pretty craft would make a great addition to a St. Patrick’s Day themed dinner or birthday party, and you could make mini versions as take home party favors.

7 Potato and Cabbage Recipes for St. Patrick’s Day

Buttered Cabbage

Potatoes and cabbage are two of my favorite comfort foods. Put them together and you’ve got a yummy, comforting Irish feast!

Buttered Cabbage – This recipe is so simple and tasty that I could easily make it once a week.

Colcannon – A traditional Irish recipe that features potatoes, cabbage, and bacon or ham. Perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day feast.

Creamed Cabbage Soup – Includes milk and cream for richness and adds an interesting flavor note with celery.

Irish Potato & Cabbage Soup with Gluten Free Irish Soda Bread – Cabbage, potatoes, and sausages … how could this be anything but tasty? The gluten free soda bread is a big bonus for those who eat gluten and wheat free diets.

Perfect Mashed Potatoes – I leave out the nutmeg, but you can’t go wrong with this recipe. My go to mashers recipe for years.

Cabbage and Potato Bake – Cabbage, potatoes, and bacon oven roasted to perfection. Another St. Patrick’s Day main dish winner.

Irish Potato Candy – While not technically a potato recipe, these cute little candies are tasty and perfect for the holiday.
